PREQIP is an individualised Career Development and Case Management model for Year 10 indigenous students to investigate and be counselled around potential career opportunities in the region.

 

Course Overview:

  • Open to year 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Run up to one day per week through Terms 3 and 4.
  • Developed in consultation with Traditional Owner Groups, Schools and the community.
  • Promotes student engagement while developing employability skills and raising awareness of
  • Students have the opportunity to complete First Aid and White card training
  • Opportunities to attend organised industry site visits aligned to identified SET Planning Career Interests
  • This program is proudly sponsored by ConocoPhillips APLNG, Shell’s QGC Business & Santos GLNG.

 

Course Duration:
Half Year (Term 2 and 3)

 

Pathway:
Varied – Senior EQIP Program, Vocational Training or Tertiary studies.

 

Note: There is no application process for the PREQIP Program as these are completed through Year 10 SET Planning processes for eligible students.
