Sorry – Applications for 2022 are now closed.  Applications for the 2023 will open in August 2022 for eligible year 10 students.

Intake:
Up to 28 year 11 students each year.

 

Course Overview:

  • The EESC program has previously been based on-site NRG Power Station, where it has been in operation for 19 years. In 2022 the program will operate from CQUniversity Gladstone Marina Campus whilst we search for a new industry location.
  • Students complete one day per week, rotating between program theory/practical learning, and structured work placement with a host employer.
  • While at the Skills Centre, students study a Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, as well as practical activities and completing pledge work projects to develop their technical skills.
  • Our EESC students are highly sought after by local employers with a large number transitioning into apprenticeships or full-time employment.

 

Course Duration:
2 years

 

Pathway:
Trade Apprenticeship, Traineeship, further study or employment in the engineering or automotive mechanical.

 

Employment Opportunities:
Electrical, Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Fitter, Mechanic, Boilermaker.
