ConocoPhillips is the world’s largest independent Exploration and Production (E&P) company, based upon production and proved reserves. With operations in 17 countries, we explore for, develop and produce crude oil and natural gas globally.
As the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), ConocoPhillips Australia is responsible for the production and export of liquified natural gas (LNG) from the Australia Pacific LNG facility on Curtis Island. LNG produced at the APLNG facility is exported mainly to customers in Asia.
APLNG is the largest producer of natural gas sourced from coal seams in eastern Australia. Along with supplying natural gas for liquefaction at the Curtis Island facility, APLNG supplies around 30% of Queensland and eastern Australia’s domestic and industrial natural gas demand.
